Jack and Jill, October 1967 - Let's Talk About Toys (Mattel Fright Factory, Transogram Green Ghost Game)

When I was 6 years old, my mother surprised me with a subscription to Jack and Jill magazine. I was surprised because I had never heard of J&J. Anyway, the first issue I received was in October of 1966, when I came home from school to find it waiting for me on the kitchen table along with a cool sticker book. Sadly, that first issue no longer has a cover, but actually this one is much more interesting to me because I was a victim of Hole-In-Bottom-Of-Trick-or-Treat-Bag myself the very first time i went Trick-or-Treating.
Don't let it happen to you!
I stuck that skull on whatever I could, including a Glow-In-The-Dark Duncan Yo-Yo.

Really, I don't see the problem here...
Jack and Jill had a "Let's Talk About Toys" column, meaning,
hit your parents up for money or start a paper route now!
In case you need instructions for your Thingmaker...

And as a bonus...

My first experience with the Green Ghost Game came during a visit to my grandparents on my mother's side. I was sitting in the backyard of their awesome 20's era house when a girl my age(6-ish) appeared at the the neighbor's fence and asked if I wanted to play a game with her! I spent the rest of the evening playing GGG with her in a darkened garage. I remember that she had long, dark brown hair. I've been into brunettes ever since...
